Kampf, Arthur - Handzeichnungen

Berlin & Leipzig, Verlag der Reichsdruckerei, 1923. Neunundzwanzig Faksimiledrucke der Reichsdruckerei auf dreiundzwanzig Tafeln mit einer Einführung von Hans Rosenhagen. [1] folio leaf for the printed titlepage, plus 11 pages of introductory text and the 29 facsimile sketches (some colored) tipped on 23 stiff paper boards. Bound in the original half-cloth with printed stiff paper boards portfolio, with three folded flaps (the flaps wrinkled and chipped), large folio format. Author's SIGNED presentation on the t.p.: "Seinem lieben Michael Bohnen zu Weihnachten 1923, Arthur Kampf." Bohnen, the great German operatic bass-baritone, was apparently a friend of the artist at the time, as he owned several of Kampf's paintings. Kampf (1864-1950) was an historical painter of the Düsseldorf School, early Nazi Party member, and artistic contributor to the 1939 notorious Haus der Kunst exhibition in Munich. .
