The American author George Washington Cable (1844-1925) was noted for his realistic stories of Creole life. He served in the Confederate Army in the American War of Independence, and was a great friend of Mark Twain. Comprises short stories :- Sieur George,'Tite Poulette, Belles Demoiselles Plantation, Jean-ah Poquelin, Madame Delicieuse, Cafe Des Exiles and "Poisson Jone". 260 pages.
