2. Bruxelles, (Chateau de Haeren - Haren ), year 1852 - 1877, manuscript on paper, 22 x 16,5 cm, 52 pp. (some pp blank, some pages clearly removed). Bound in contemporary half cloth, leather title label on front cover. The manuscript describes on a yearly base the financial transactions of the estate. The last pages (paste down included) contains an explanation with double page plans of the reshaping of the castle's grounds, with ponds and a bridge over the Senne ( Zenne ) river. Interesting manuscript on the management of an estate in mid 19th c. Brabant (Belgium). The whole village of Haren was incorporated in the town of Brussels at the beginning of the 20th c.. The manuscript was kept in a rather careless manner and many pages have been removed. It remains nevertheless an interesting source for the history of Haren and its castle. .
