Phycho-ethnological comparative study based upon observations made during a journey in the Indonesian Archipelago between 1878-1880 & on earlier publications. The twofold aim of the journey was to collect artefacts for the Berlin Etnolog. Museum & to provide comparative material for a theory on human thought. Although in the Central Moluccas only Banda was visited, information has also been included on Buru, Seram & Ambon. Subjects dealt with are ethnic religion, myths, rites, marriage, local government & social organization, & administration of justice. (POLMAN, Centr. Moluccas.. op. cit.). Partly unopened copy.
