Dutch-english language catalogue of an exhibition about japanese woodcuts with illustrations of japanese musical instruments observed and described from various angles, e.g.: value and evaluation, socio-historical background, Fashion, Technique, Greetings prints (Surimono), Language and signs, String instruments, Percussion instruments, Wood wind instruments. Very fine copy. This exhibition has been compiled for the greater part from The Hague Municipal Museum holdings, of which a large section was acquired mid-1930s: Collection D.F. Lunsingh Scheurleer.
