WITH an illustrated dutch language press-clipping about Raemaekers and Promovenda's printed invitation card to the reception loosely inserted. Dutch language doctoral dissertation researching in detail life and times of Louis Raemaekers, a dutch national by birth at Roermond, Limburg Province, Holland. He became a more than famous draughtsman and political cartoonist of the First World War or, Great War 1914-1918. His well known cartoon series are of a brutal and shocking nature never before done, by which the misery of war, politics and oppression is exposed. In his obituary in the New York Times he was remembered as 'the one private individual who excercised a real and great influenceon the course of the 1914-1918 war'. Very good copy.
