Posthumously published, author, a dutch reformed missionary who worked on Savu, Eastern Indonesia, for an extended time, died on Sumatra in 1894. He was sent-out by the N.Z.G. (Nederlandsch Zendings Genootschap). In his introduction C. Poensen states that his word-list contains no previously published words in a publication by [Professor] H. Kern. Published by command of the Royal Institute of Linguistics, anthropology and geography. Good untrimmed and partly unopened copy. Rare. (spine with a recent cloth strip).
