Name-list of frisian rulers, a supplementary note on the birth of the then Prince and Stadtholder (i.e. Governor or Pro-Consul) Willem Karel Hendrik Frieso and a concise discourse on the tragic death by drowning during a river-crossing of Jan Willem Frieso, Prince of Orange Nassau, etc., and Stadtholder of Friesland Province. An interesting history from 313 B.C. to 1677 A.D. of Friesland Province, touching on subjects as roots, rise and continuation, administration, heraldry, war, science, fight for freedom and topography. The 2nd. enlarged impression of this famous historical review, tog. 4 edns. have been published: first in 1677. Apart from the recent cloth binding, skilfully executed but not matching to a 18th century publication, a very good copy. Rare.
