A boy, by the name of 'Piet', travels with his father across Java, visiting a number of Estates; they are present at a so-called kètjoe party, near Yogyakarta and as main event they visit the regent of Blitar and his wife. This first edn. is completely different from the 2nd.[c.1928] and 3rd. edn.[1930]; all three edns. have different titles too. Very rare copy in orig.publ. cloth. (name-stamp in upper left corner of verso of upper boards, repeated in upper right corner of ti.-p., f.e.p. removed, ow. a very fine copy).
