Smooth spines with red title label. ¶ Beautiful dutch translation of this work on insects by J.A. Rösel van Rosenhof. Very nicely illustrated with 316(of 376) plates on 253 (of 287) leaves. All the plates with contemporary hand-colouring of outstanding quality. Unfortunaly we lack vol 2a with 50 plates on 34 leaves. The plates depict butterflies,moths, beetles, bugs, wasps, lobster, polyps etc. The missing vol has waterinsects and earth bugs. In spite of the missing copy beautiful set in very good condition.
