Cleveland, Ohio, Lewis Research Center NASA. Hard Cover, Near Fine/, This is a most unusal offering. It is a compilation of scieniftic/tehnical articles all written by the same man during his employment at the NASA Lewis Research Center and collected and bound as a retirement gift by the Center. There are twenty-three in all, plus a photo of the autho at frontis. Book is bound in handsome burgundy cloth with crisp gilt printing to face and spine. A retirement card signed by numerous people is lightly taped to front free endpaper, but could be easily removed. Articles are very technical in nature and include numerous charts, tables, mathematical examples, drawings and photos. Many are are on aspects of superconductiove magnets.Typcial articles include: "Turbulence Measurements in Subsonic Air Jets"; "High Field Magnets and Magnetic Research at NASA Lewis Research Center" ; Supeconducting Magnetic Bottle for Plasma Physics Experiments"; and "Force-Reduced Superconducting Magnet Coils." Very heavy book.
