- Ken Magazine January 12, 1939

Chicago, Illinois, Ken Inc., 1939, Vol. 3 No. 1. Soft Cover, Folio - over 12" - 15" tall, Very Good/Wraps, Very Good, Nice copy with just a tear spine beneath lowest staple and corner creasing. Tightly bound and wonderful cover graphic with Uncle Sam seranading a Latin American senorita. Ken was a great publication, if short lived, with wonderful art and intelligent copy. Articles in this issue include articles on Japanese substitutions of American products, a strange mass murderer on the loose in Cleveland, propoganda and Spanish art, the soaring prices for whale oil in Antartica, and early efforts at invitro fertilization. Also wonderful photographs and carricatures, plus vintage ads. Several other copies of Ken available, including one with Hemingway article. Not seen too often.
