Nixon’s copy with numerous pencil notes in his hand, a long A.L.s. from the author to Nixon tipped-in, slightly spotted, orig. cloth, hinges torn. Volume I, contains an introduction, a catalogue raisonné, a synopsis of the collection, an index of binders’ and booksellers’ names, monastic binders and cyphers.
