German edition, translated from the original English (London 1725) by F.C. Weber. Windus travelled with Commodore Charles Stewart in 1720 to treat for peace with the emperor of Morocco on behalf of George I. In January 1721 a treaty between Briatin and Morocco was signed at Ceuta. This edition has the same plates as the original but has also a portrait of the Emperor Moulai Ismail not found in the original. A beautiful copy. Gay 1294. Paulitschke 692. Playfair 342.
