Bound in contemporary blindpressed vellum, spine with four raised bands, small damage to lower part of spine, worn, hinges cracked and clasps missing. The covers are decorated with floral design and images of different saints. Clenardus (1495-1542) was born at Diest in Brabant and became a teacher in Greek and Hebrew in Spain and Portugal. Clenardus' success was largely due to his methodical presentation of the contents and clear formulations of the grammatical rules.
