With dedication title with engraved medallion portrait of king Gustavus iii of Sweden and 24 lvs of text, of which 23 with 46 specimens of different alphabets. Printed on one side only within an ornamental woodcut border. Nice half red morocco, spine lettered in gilt, with Fredrik von Steijern's arms in gilt on front cover. Printed on good quality paper at the press of the Congregatio de Propaganda Fide in Rome which at the time had fonts for 44 different languages. A scarce work of a type specimen printed in the form of a congratulatory poem by Gudmund Göran Adelberth to the Swedish King Gustav iiion the occasion of his visit to he Rome in 1784.
