Contemporary reviews note that Keneally "writes with pace and style", and that The Fear is "powerful and intensely moving" Set in wartime Australia, it is the story of Danny Jordan, a young Catholic boy who is compelled to face the problems set by adults in an adult world. Next door to Danny live the Mantles, through whom he is to learn more about life, death, and fear, than is right for a small boy. All our books are securely packed, and dispatched without delay.
