Paris: Andre Sagnier, [1870]. Sm. 8vo, (4), 156pp, 31 engravings of potatoes in the text. Orig. printed wrappers, a fine copy. ¶ Only Edition. Published in the series Nouvelle Bibliotheque Rurale. This text details the cultivation, usage, and conservation of the potato. The plates show views of potatoes including cross-sections, and depictions of some of the hardware necessary to their proper cultivation. The author (b.1815) published several works on agriculture. Shipping Terms: WITHIN THE USA the minimum charge for shipping and handling is $5.00. In the absence of specific instructions from our client we will offer the least expensive shipping option that will in our judgment provide adequate security and insurance. We recommend USPS Media Mail only for parcels valued less than $300. We prefer to ship all domestic parcels valued at $1000 or more via USPS Priority, Registered and fully insured. We will gladly accommodate parties with a FEDEX or UPS account who wish to assume the shipping charges.

For OVERSEAS parcels the minimum charge for shipping and handling is $12. In the absence of specific instructions from our client we will offer the least expensive shipping option that will in our judgment provide adequate security and insurance. Flat-rate priority envelopes will only be used for pamphlets, and small-format, slender volumes valued less than $150. Parcels valued above $300 require insurance, and must be shipped via USPS Priority or Express mail. Parcels valued at $1000 or more will be shipped via USPS Registered Mail (most secure) or Express. We encourage our overseas clients prior to placing orders to inquire regarding shipping options for valuable parcels. We will gladly accommodate parties with a FEDEX or UPS account who wish to assume the shipping charges.
