[Paris]: Les Amis d'Edouard, 1924. 16mo, (2), 56, (6)pp. French blue wrappers, lettered in black, slight bumping at fore-edges of some leaves, a nearly fine, unopened copy. ¶ Privately printed edition limited to 250 numbered copies, this being one of only 6 printed 'sur papier bleu de France.' Les Amis d'Edouard was started in 1911 when the publisher and bibliophile Edouard Champion decided to publish a study by Maurice Barrès in a small edition, expressly for his friends. By 1933 the editions of Les Amis d'Edouard ran to over 165 titles, always printed on fine paper and generally limited to 200 or so copies. With original numeration slip laid-in. Flat-rate priority envelopes will only be used for pamphlets, and small-format, slender volumes valued less than $150. Parcels valued above $300 require insurance, and must be shipped via USPS Priority or Express mail. Parcels valued at $1000 or more will be shipped via USPS Registered Mail (most secure) or Express. We encourage our overseas clients prior to placing orders to inquire regarding shipping options for valuable parcels.
