A La Haye: Chez Gosse Junior, 1777. 12mo, 216pp, frontispiece, head- tail pieces, t-p vignette. Contemporary full burgundy crushed morocco, gilt lettered, gilt ldec. compartments, French fillets, gilt-tooled edges, aeg, bookplate, tight, internally clean, near fine. ¶ Fictitious imprint? Compositorial characteristics (quire catchwords, three leaves in each gathering signed, signatures offset to the right) suggest a French or perhaps Swiss origin. Scarce. Bengesco 665.

Shipping Terms: WITHIN THE USA the minimum charge for shipping and handling is $5.00. In the absence of specific instructions from our client we will offer the least expensive shipping option that will in our judgment provide adequate security and insurance. We recommend USPS Media Mail only for parcels valued less than $300. We prefer to ship all domestic parcels valued at $1000 or more via USPS Priority, Registered and fully insured. We will gladly accommodate parties with a FEDEX or UPS account who wish to assume the shipping charges.

For OVERSEAS parcels the minimum charge for shipping and handling is $12. In the absence of specific instructions from our client we will offer the least expensive shipping option that will in our judgment provide adequate security and insurance. Flat-rate priority envelopes will only be used for pamphlets, and small-format, slender volumes valued less than $150. Parcels valued above $300 require insurance, and must be shipped via USPS Priority or Express mail. Parcels valued at $1000 or more will be shipped via USPS Registered Mail (most secure) or Express. We encourage our overseas clients prior to placing orders to inquire regarding shipping options for valuable parcels.
