Readers Library, 1929. Used - Very Good. VG hardback in VG dust jacket 1st ed.. Meets the requirements of Kiddle W137 for a first edition. Bright copy in tight binding; red cloth with gilt pattern and titles on front board and spine. Cloth darkened, and gilt faded on spine. Paper dry and yellowing with age, but ultimately pages tidy & well preserved. Dust jacket showing gagged girl ties to wall; colours remain fresh & titles clear. Edges a little shelf worn; brown stains on reverse of jacket, showing through to front panel; jacket protected by removable clear film.
