E BLYTH: - A collection of papers on Ornithology [Blyth's own copy].
Various publications, 1842 - 1851. A large bound collection of papers by Blyth amounting to several hundred pages . Bound in half brown calf, with the boards somewhat rubbed. Contents generally in good to very good condition (some light foxing). Many of the papers are inscribed by Blyth to E L Layard. They subsequently came back into Blyth's possession, and are extensively annotated by him. Blyth was curator of the Museum of the Asiatic Society for 20 years, and most of his output relates to India and adjoining countries. A unique association item of this highly regarded naturalist.
