Despite this, the boards remain sturdy, with bright gold gilt to the front. Internally, there are previous owner's stamp and ink signatures on the front end page. The front hinge is cracked and there is tanning, foxing and sporadic annotation throughout. The pages remain neat, legible and complete. The binding is sound. JK.
