John Gay (1685-1732) was a friend of both Alexander Pope and Jonathan Swift. Includes 2 plates by William Kent, a subscriber list, and an index. 4to. contemporary calf, spine in 6 compartments, spine gilt. Bookplate to front pastedown. Ink ownership to ffep and tp.
