SANCHEZ CANTON, Francisco Javier. GOYA. New York: Reynal & Company, [n.d. possibly 1964]. One of the "Grand Monographs of Art" series under the editorship of Paolo Lecaldano. Planned and designed by Piero Raggi, under the direction of Lucio Fossati of Rizzoli Editore in Milan. First English language edition, translated by Henry Mins. Profusely illustrated with 137 illustrations in the text, most of which are in color and tipped-in, followed by 56 color plates, some folding, reproducing details from the fourteen murals in Goya's country house Quinto del Sordo. Text leaves are printed on thick paper which is watermarked Rizzoli. Folio: 96 pp. + 56 plates. Orange cloth, title printed in green to spine and upper board. Some light soiling to front endpapers and occasional, light thumbing to text leaves, and negligible soiling to cloth; nevertheless, this is a bright copy overall.
