1966. (STAMP COLLECTING). "MARY CASSATT - AMERICAN ARTIST." The commemorative 5 cent United States Postage Stamp honoring the American artist; the stamp features a color image of her painting "The Boating Party." It is affixed to a special "first day of issue" envelope, which features black and white images of "The Boating Party" and a portrait of Cassatt, with the cancel "Washington, D.C. Nov. 17, 1966, First Day of Issue." There is a trace of pencil erasure where the recipient's name and address had been written, else fine. .
