Red boards, gilt title on faded spine bearing minor handling creasing to ends plus negligible split at head; faded strips to rear board adjacent to top and spine edges; very light spotting to endpapers, and occasionally within content, binding stretched at p.161; pages remain crisp and uncreased; black and white printed image pasted to half title page, presumably by previous owner as edges don't look perfectly straight and a little bit of glue is visible at the top edge; discoloured rectangle to endpaper opposite.
