Blank embossed design to front and rear; purple boards, slight soiling to front; near fine gilt title and decorative bands to spine faded to grey and chipped at base; edge surface worn through at base of rear lower fore edge corner and top front fore edge corner; black and red on white marble effect inside covers and free endpapers; first title page tanned, small 444 penned top left; main content bright and straight but lightly to moderately foxed throughout; binding firm; undated but we have the first volume of an incomplete set which bears the following, "NAPOLI, DALLA REALE STAMPERIA 1824." (FROM THE REAL PRINTING OFFICE). Contains many black and white plates and accompanying text in Italian on heavy paper. 1.64kg.. Good to Very Good .
