There is a stain & some minor soiling to the front cover and the bottom corners of the covers are chipped. Unpaginated. Printed in red & black with 2 pages, including calendars, devoted to each month for 1953, calendars for the years 1952 & 1954 and a biographical note on Alexander Anderson plus a colophon. Illustrated in black on a tan ground with a frontispiece self-portrait engraved by Anderson at the age of 84, and 25 engraved vignettes. Very good. Alexander Anderson [1775-1870] was the father of white-line wood engraving in America. Very good .
