Franco Scepi [b. 1941] began his career as a set designer at La Scala and as a graphic artist designed film and theatre posters in Milan. An admirer of Luis Bunuel, he has produced and directed films and video, including a computerized video based on "Un chien andalou". Since1964 he has been involved in advertising, first as the advertising manager for De Rica, then as creative art director and partner with Lino Casa and Claudio de Micheli of the CDS, an advertising and marketing agency. The text of the book, which is printed in Italian and English, consists of an introduction by Gillo Dorfles, an essay on Scepi by Massimo Di Forti, and comments by Scepi on his work, reported by Di Forti.
