The binding is rubbed & chipped with a piece out of the paper of the rear board & a piece out of the top corner of the front board. The spine & its label are darkened; its head is chipped & there is a large piece out of its tail. The joints are worn. Vol. 1: pages [1]-311. Vol. 2: pages [1]-322 & [1] leaf. The hinges are starting. Some pages are darkened & there is scattered foxing. A few top page corners are creased. In Vol. 2, pages 145/146 are skipped in the numbering, without loss. A good working copy.

The titles continue: "Erster Theil, welcher die in Betreff des ehelichen Bandes vorgeschritbene Grundschze enthalt" and "Zwenter Theil, welcher die gesegliche Wirfungen einer geschlessenen Ehe enthdte."
