He writes: "Birgir Amdresson's installation for the Biennale exhibition is based on three aspects of Icelandic culture which he has termed History, Narratives and Crafts". Included were pencil drawings of excavated historical sites, textual works with graphic descriptions of the Icelandic landscape and its local conditions, and flags hand-knitted out of Icelandic wool in natural colors.
