There are stains to the cover of Vol. I & a 1" tear to the rear joint. xii & 564 pp.; vii, [i] & 522 pp. & 2-page publisher's catalogue; xi, [i] & 316 pp. & 4-page publisher's catalogue; x, [i] & 369 pp. & 3-page publisher's catalogue; and x, [ii] 486 pp. & 2-page publisher's catalogue. Vols. 4 & 5 are cracked at the title & the edges of the endpapers are faded. There is occasional light soiling. Illustrated with 1 B&W frontispiece, 4 color frontispieces, 100 color plates & profuse B&W textual illustrations. Good.
