Nellie beat Fogg by eight days. With illustrations in color and black & white by B. Holmes. This work written for a younger reader. --- In yellow cloth-covered boards with front cover image of a steamship; cover and spine titling in brown. Dust jacket with image of Nellie walking with a satchel in her hand and a monkey on her shoulder. --- With gift inscription to front paste-down, slight discoloration and chafing to cloth, otherwise a clean, tightly-bound, unmarked copy.
