The campaign, conducted in winter, had the goal of subduing Kiowa, Cheyenne and Arapahoe tribes who were on the war path. Dark dust jacket with illustration of mounted troops struggling through a snowstorm. --- A very nice copy: clean, tightly-bound and unmarked.
