Chicago, W.J. Holland & Co. 1871, First Edition. Hard Cover. First edition, in contemporary full-leather binding. Size: tall octavo. Red leather spine label with gilt stamped titles. 1151 pages, with all engraved illustrations present, including frontis. Solid book. 2" crack at bottom of outer front hinge, but front board holding well. Scuffing and chipping to board edges; some small strips of lifting to top layer of leather. Moderate soiling and scattered, minor stains to boards. Spine label is bright. Some edge-chipping and foxing to endpapers, which have light dampstaining at edges. Light dampstaining along outer margins of first half of book; text unaffected. Good. Good.

Orders are mailed on the first business day after receipt of payment from Medford, Oregon USA. All of our inventory is in our possession.

Refunds for any reason if not satisfied, if received within 30 days of sale (possibly a little longer for overseas).

Shipping to EEC and other non-US countries is based on kg. (lb) weight, shipping costs to be calculated on request. We use United State Post Office First Class International, Priority Mail International, and on occasion M-Bag (book rate for items going to one addressee up to 11 lbs (+/- 5 kg).
