The author seems to have specialised in translating tales from other countries. COPAC does not contain this work but shows "In the Pond and on the Hill" translated from the Norwegian and published in 1883 and "The Inca's Treasure" adapted from the German and published in 1879, both with different publisher. "The Wonder-Gatherer. Accounts of remarkable phenomena, striking anecdotes and authentic narratives ,selected by Jessie Young" was published by the same publisher as this in 1985.
