Henry Watterson was called "the last of the great personal journalists", writing colorful and controversial editorials on many topics under the pen name "Marse Henry" which were published in hundreds of American papers as an early exemplar of the syndicated column. He was Democrat and a constant critic of Theodore Roosevelt. This piece refers to an editorial he wrote praising TR's 1905 Atlanta Speech. Near fine .
