Frank McKinney Hubbard (1868 - 1930) American cartoonist, humorist, and journalist better known by his pen name "Kin" Hubbard. For twenty-five years, from 1905-1930, "Abe Martin" was the mouthpiece for Kin Hubbard's daily quips in The Indianapolis News, which, accompanied by sketches of Abe and his friends in action. Abe Martin became one of the most popular cracker-barrel philosophers this country has ever known in the US. Very funny quips still relevent today. CONDITION Red bds with Black titles (fresh and unworn) pp 76 copy is nice and crisp with faint fox spotting, overview from original DJ is psted onto front pastedown, named and dated 1930 to ffep, clipping of Martin wiscrack pasted to blank opposing intoduction page. Very Good/No Jacket.
