Octavo brown blindstamped cloth (edges bit bumped and foot of spine with old repair/cloth a bit darkened or dusty) 270pp + 2pp of book list. Rubber stamp of the Allen Library to lower corner of titlepage and lower margin of page 101 and the last page. Inscription Wesleyan Quiet Room, Perham. The end papers are rather dusty and marked and the last few pages have slight marginal damp mark extending less than 6mm in from the top edge with fewer pages having slight red staining from the binding as well. Otherwise pages are clean and crisp. *Interesting travels to Gibraltar, Egypt including travel by railway and boat, Monsoons and Ceylon, some description of Methodism in Ceylon, to Melbourne and thence to Tasmania arriving for the New Year of 1861 by Coach from Launceston, delighted in the trees, birds and animals and after Sydney (lovely color frontis) to Mining region of Kapunda, to the vineyards near Adelaide and home via Ceylon and Palestine where the usual Holy sites were visited.
