Octavo Cartonnage romantique embossed gilt floral cartouche with heavily embossed frame and infills (spine gilt dull/tips of spine chipped and bumped/tips worn) half title, advert leaves, frontis & TP 283pp Nice inscription on FEP dated 1852 slight pale foxing else neat and tight. A less usual cartonage as only in 2 colors (gold and maroon) but with more relief embossing. French juvenile moral tale.
