USA, TIME-LIFE Publishers 1948 Profusely illustrated, many in colour . Volume I, "The Gathering Storm" in 6 Issues of LIFE: 19 & 26 April & 3, 10, 17, & 24 May 1948 (along with all the other features & reports of those issues incl. Dewey, Taft, Stassen, Presidential hopefuls; Arab-Israeli War; Korea; CIO-Strikes, etc. & every issue with extensive illustrated film-review, theatre, art etc.) All magazines in good condition, but showing their age and some slight wear, one copy missing 2x1 inch strip from rear-cover advertisment, one or two leaves split at cenrefolds (without any loss of text or picture). These six feature-articles differ from the printed book in that the LIFE version is illustrated and extensively annotated with historical background information from the TIME-LIFE team of writers and editors.
