KENNELLY, BRENDAN, - Dream Of A Black Fox.

Dublin: Allen Figgis, 1968. 1st Edition. 1st Irish edition/1st printing. SIGNED/INSCRIBED on the front pastedown by author to Leslie Smith "with kindest regards, Brendan Kennelly". Near fine plus book with only slight age darkening to the end pages, bound with black cloth with gilt lettering on the spine. The dustjacket is very good condition - price intact with slight wear to the upper edge, an uncreased wrinkle down the front near the flap fold and another on the back panel, with some slight lamination lifting to the upper edge. Note that you're seeing reflections of nearby objects from the dustjacket protector, in the pictures of the dustjacket. This book of poetry retains the ebullience and forthrightness of the author's earlier work while possessing a power which comes of increased concentration and sureness - the 'simple savage style' as expressed in his poem in this book called 'The Grip.' AE Memorial Prize For Poetry winner, for his previous books: 'Collection One' and 'Good Souls To Survive.. 70 pages; Signed by Author. NF/VG+.
