A scarce suite of six hand-colored lithographs, each 13 3/16 x 9 3/4 (335 x 247 mm). Bound to contemporary style in full dark green morocco. Gilt ruled borders. Gilt panel. Gilt lettering and ornaments to spine. Mild toning to margins, otherwise fine. OCLC/KVK record no holdings in libraries worldwide. ABPC Index records no auction sales since 1923. In over forty-years of specializing in color-plate books this is the first time we have ever seen this astonishingly rare suite. The Plates: Each is titled, Chacun prend son plaisir où il le trove (Each Takes His Pleasure Where He Finds It): 1. . (At night, young man peeks through a window at a lady). 2. (A hunter with rifle slogs through water with his dog). 3. (At a masked ball a dancer rests). 4. (An angler at it so long that a spider has spun a web on his fishing pole). 5.
