First 4 volumes with continuous pagination, 2652 pages, 50 single page engraved plates, volume 5, The Holy War, viii, 343pp, 1pp directions to the binder, 1-32pp, 11 plates, including frontis, volume 6, The Pilgrim's Progress, in 2 parts, xvi, 197,[3],[8],177,[1]pp, 4pp subscibers. 16 plates, including frontis. Bound in cloth, with gilt lettering, volume 1 & 2, are worn with loss on head and tail of spines, the other volumes have been rebacked. Generally binding showing wear, but in good condition. Internally, text blocks are holding, but with use could become loose, a few plates chipped on margins, some light tanning or offsetting, heavier in places. Generally pages and plates in good condition. Overally a good copy, of a rare set. Good Plus.
