It is said that the name "Uncle Sam" originated as result of Anderson's claim. Anderson sold meat to the US Army, which came from a meatpacker named Samuel Wilson. The meat was stamped EAUS (Elbert Anderson United States). The soldiers joked that the initials stood for Elbert Anderson and Uncle Sam. A very scarce book. Poor.
