[Springfield, MA; Boston; Chicago]: , (n. d.). Circa 1890 - 1910. Stiff paper. Now housed in a clear archival mylar sleeve. 5 cards, three printed recto and verso, two printed recto only. Includes one postcard. Color printed illustrations to rectos. Sizes vary. Smallest 1-3/4" x 3-1/8", largest 3-1/8" x 5-7/8". Most in median range. Slight wear to some corners; very minor occasional soiling; faint patina of adhesive and small abrasion to blank verso of one card; street address on one card neatly blacked out. VG condition or better, overall. Small collection of five shoe-related cards. Businesses include J. R. Child's Boston Shoe Store, Springfield, Mass. ("Ladies' Fine Shoes. Favorite and Union Dressings Are Superior Articles ."); Chicago Shoe Store Supply Co. featuring "The Scholl Foot-eazer"; H. E. Urann, Boston, "Sole Agent for the D. A. M. High Cut Boot"; and Pulver Bros. Chicago, featuring "Reynolds Brothers Celebrated Fine Shoes . ackhowledged by all to be 'the best made'". The postcard, copywritten in 1907 by U. Co. NY, depicts a family of mice in an old shoe, with the caption, "Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home." A nicely illustrated collection.
