First American edition, published in the same year as the UK edition which was titled "In Whose Dim Shadow". VERY SCARCE. The 10th of Connington's Sir Clinton Driffield detective novels "The Tau Cross Mystery", begins with a shooting in an unlocked room with a set of footprints leading away from the open French windows. Very good .
