New York: Simon & Schuster, 1975. 1st Edition. 1st edition/1st printing. McMurtry's 7th book, made into an excellent movie starring Shirley Maclaine and Jack Nicholson. The book is probably unread as it is extremely tight; it is straight and clean with no previous owner handwriting in it, with the normal light, even paper tanning for this book and a small remainder mark near the spine on the lower page edges. The dustjacket is price intact, bright, crisp, unfaded & clean with one very tiny edge nick and a trace of shelving rubbing to the spine and back panel. The dustjacket front panel picture shows a bit of flash reflection along the spine from the removable protector; it is not anything on the dustjacket. Very lovely example of this difficult and poorly produced book. F/NF.
