- By-Laws of Geo. C. Strong Post No. 534 Department of New York G.A. R.Brooklyn, Geo. Frentzel, 1885. Paperback. 16mo. Stiff tan wrappers. 41pp. Very good. Tiny chip at lower right corner of front wrapper, else tight and clean. Decent copy of this rules and regulations booklet. Vermonter Strong was born 1833 and, as one of the youngest brigadier generals, was mortally wounded in 1863 at Battery Wagner. Laid in is a 4½" X 2¼" printed ticket, on heavy pink card stock, of the "Second Annual Camp Fire of Jas. H. Perry Post 89, G.A.R." dated 21 July 1881. Very good -- clean and handsome, apparently unused. .
